A Month of Gratitude: Day 7

My Faith
I am thankful for my faith because it reminds me what is truly important. It comforts, guides, loves, forgives. gives hope and perserveres. The Lord has made it a true gift in my life.

A Month of Gratitude: Day 6

Political Freedom
Election day is here, and I am thankful that I have the opportunity to express my political beliefs. Today memories were made with my little ones as this was their first trip to the polls!

A Month of Gratitude: Day 5

My Education

I am very thankful to have had the opportunity to attend college, both in the pursuit of my biology degree and later nursing diploma. While my dream job lies in a field of research (too many areas I would love to work in to mention,) I decided that an enhancement in nursing is currently a prefect fit for our location and flexibility in raising my children. I've had the opportunity to work hard and get the best out of my education with support from my family and friends; what a blessed journey it has been. The knowledge gained is priceless and I hope to instill this in my children.

A Month of Gratitude: Day 4

Our Home
I am thankful to have a roof over my head, and in turn, thankful for my father & mother-in-law and again, my parents. Ryan's parents have made it possible for us to live here, expand the living space and remodel, and my parents have done the inside finishing, bringing it from a skeleton to what it is today. I am so grateful to have wonderful family and raise my children in such a beautiful location. Sorry about the distance but this is the most recent picture I have of the outside, taken during harvest.

A Month of Gratitude: Day 3

My Parents

I am thankful to have my parents and all that they have done for my family. I am also thankful that they only live a few miles from us. They have helped me so much with the kids, and they are great at being consistent with my decisions regarding parenting. They have also put in many hours of labor finishing our house that I wouldn't be able to do alone.

A Month of Gratitude: Day 2

My Husband
I am thankful for all that Ryan provides for us and the ability to stay home with my children. Sometimes we have to sacrifice time spent with him for the demands of his work, but he loves us, is supportive and is my best friend, even when we don't see eye-to-eye. What more can you really ask.

A Month of Gratitude

The month of Thanksgiving is upon us, and this year I decided to challenge myself with thirty days of things I am thankful for (not that I can fit all that I am thankful for in thirty days, and I am thankful year round,) by way of a photo project. The challenge is 30 posts with a picture of what I am thankful for that day; nothing extravagant, just a simple depiction of my gratitude in preparation for the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, and remembering what really matters. Trayton and I will also be making a crafty "Give Thanks" tree to drop leaves from each day and display on our refrigerator. It's never too early to introduce them to the importance of gratitude, right?!

My Children

I am blessed to have two beautiful, healthy children, and I am thankful every day for this gift. They amaze me daily in their growth and development; it's truly a miraculous process to be a part of and share with them.
